Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–1:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (408) 677-3456. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, onepotshabushabu.com.

It was about time that we tried Shabu Shabu and we did it. Loved the experience every bit and i have tried to break it down into a few dimensions that probably would cover our visit. To start with we went there on a weekday and found a parking spot right outside. Ambiance: One Pot Shabu Shabu offers a modern and clean dining environment that is both welcoming and comfortable. The minimalist dΓ©cor with sleek furniture and subtle lighting creates a pleasant atmosphere that is ideal for casual dining. The layout is spacious, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable shabu shabu experience, whether you're dining alone or with a group. The ambiance is enhanced by the friendly chatter of fellow diners and the appealing aroma of the broths. Food: The food at One Pot Shabu Shabu is exceptional, with a focus on fresh and high-quality ingredients. Diners can choose from a variety of broths, including traditional, spicy, and unique house specialties, each providing a different depth of flavor. The meat selections are tender and well-marbled, making them perfect for the hot pot cooking method. Seafood options, such as shrimp and fish, are also fresh and flavorful. I really like hot pots, and this one is a really good one for Japanese Shabu Shabu style. They have a set of pre-selections made for most dietary needs or just plain old preferences. Or if you are like me, you can switch things around each time. Besides the core selections, plenty of different sides are also offered as options to enhance your meal, so I'll get the miso broth with American Wagyu beef one time, along with a couple of eggs and maybe some crab. Then next time I'll choose some other variety, though I will almost always get some egg - the eggs boil-cooked in the broth are really very tasty. I also love their sauces, usually switching between them for different experiences with each of the foods. And adding some ramen noodles to the broth is also a nice way to finish it off. The servers were always on top of everything, adding more broth as needed or checking to see if you need seconds of anything, and topping off the broth. This really improved experience since I do use a lot of the sauce and I went through a lot of broth. For those looking for enjoyable and novel experiences, definitely you have a thumbs up from me... πŸ™‚

First time. Pretty good hot pot. Garlic miso and traditional seaweed soup broths both good. Surf and turf and American Kobe meets. Induction stovetops help boil the soup fast. Two kinds of sauce… one is a sesame soy saucey type, the other more creamy ponzu. Service was very nice, but too busy and therefore not enough people to be attentive. For instance, filling water and refilling sauces. Three size servings to select from. Got pretty busy on a Friday evening. I will definitely come back. April 2025 update: I always enjoy One Pot. You get stuffed, but it’s a healthy stuffed! They give a ton of veggies and good cuts of meat. I tried the tomato soup this time. I would not recommend it. It’s acidic and tangy. I think these boiled meats are better with savory soups. Scallops are awesome. Kobe is awesome. October 2025. Still one of our favorite shabu shabu. The meat quality is very good.

The nice Japanese restaurant. You have to cook your food by yourself. You will get some vegetables πŸ₯—, meat πŸ₯© and some base like a soup 🍜. Every table has stoves and you put the stuff in boiled soup. I, personally, didn’t understand such kind of dish. For me it’s better to have it already cooked, but it’s good for entertainment. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and work fast. Can be a lane to get a table.

Place was clean staff was friendly. Food was not so good. Me and my family went. We tried 3 different types of broth with our Shabu Shabu. All 3 broths were very bland. The portions were good Just not very tasty. Kinda difficult to understand the ordering process also.
